In most mid to large cities out West.. the largest percentage increase in housing costs occurred during Trump's first term. As for why these housing costs are so high.. it goes far beyond politics in most places. So I can acknowledge that Trump is not going to be able to lower housing costs to a point where the younger working class can truly afford it. That would demand a decrease of 30 to 40% in median selling price.. not going to happen.
